From the classic to the unique, we’ve rounded up a selection of drinks worthy of those sizzling fajitas
Margaritas are a staple of bars, Mexican restaurants, and any place that serves up hand-crafted mixed drinks. We’re here to help you discover the best margaritas in Clarksville, Tennessee. The origins of this drink, however, are a mystery.
In 1936, an Iowa newspaper noted a Tijuana excursion and the discovery of the “Tequila Daisy,” a drink matching the modern margarita. In fact, the Spanish word margarita means “daisy.” Then, in 1937, the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book included a tequila, triple sec, and lime concoction under the name “Picador.” Ironically, this book was compiled, not in North America, but in the United Kingdom. Other stories cite its creation at various bars (including the wet bar of a vacationing socialite) in Mexico or Texas in 1938, 1942, or 1948.
At any rate, Jose Cuervo tequila was already branding the margarita by 1945, and its legacy has endured. Whether you like it frozen or on the rocks, flavored or original, with a salted rim or without, you’re sure to discover your new favorite libation.

Most Unique Margarita
