Companies with subscription services often offer free trials. Find some of our favorite free trial offers below. We also review each experience so that you can make an informed decision.
Pro tip: Mark your calendar as to when the free trial ends and billing begins. If the service isn’t worth it to you, cancel your subscription to avoid the charge.
Free Trial of Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime allows you to get fast, free shipping on thousands of Amazon products with no order minimums. You’ll also be able to stream a rotating selection of thousands of movies and television shows from the Prime Video Library.
Amazon Prime is the one streaming service that is always worth it here at Adventure Central. At the time of posting, Prime costs $14.99 per month after the free trial. You can shave 10 percent off this amount by opting for a yearly rather than monthly payment.
Free Trial of Audible Audiobooks
Here at Adventure Central, we love audiobooks! A boring workday or spring cleaning can be made much more endurable by a good book.
This one-month free trial of Audible gives you a credit for 1 free audiobook of your choice (2 free audiobooks if you are already an Amazon Prime member!) plus access to streaming content such as select books and podcasts. Members also get 30 percent off the purchase of additional audiobooks.
We enjoyed using our Audible subscription to access Audiobooks not available through our local library’s digital audiobook lending app. But, $14.95 per month seemed a little steep when so many audiobooks are available for free, so we canceled before the trial period ended.
Free Trial of Kindle Unlimited
Kindle Unlimited allows you to read an unlimited number of ebooks, up to ten titles at a time. It is great for accessing titles not yet available from the public library’s ebook lending app. After the trial period, Kindle Unlimited costs $9.99 per month. Here at Adventure Central, we utilize the free ebooks available via the public library, and canceled Kindle Unlimited membership before the trial period ended.
