Hearty Winter Oatmeal Recipe

Prep time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup almond milk
1 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp raw cane sugar
1 tsp whole flax seed
1/3 cup raisins
Pinch of sea salt
Nutmeg for garnish
Preparation
1. Combine water, almond milk, and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.
2. Add oats and reduce heat to medium. Stir in cinnamon, sugar, flax seeds, and raisins.
3. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove to serving bowls and garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg; freshly ground is best.
