What Is PinchMe?
PinchMe is a website that allows you to sign up and receive free samples. You enter your email, name, and address to create your account. You’ll also fill out a profile with information on your likes and dislikes, family members, and pets. This helps determine which samples you are eligible for.
Once a month on Sample Tuesday, you can claim your free samples. You’ll be able to choose up to 4 samples, and sometimes additional items are added. Be fast! Quantities are always limited.
What do the companies get in return? They want your feedback. You’ll be asked to fill out brief feedback surveys. They want to know what you liked and did not like about the product, if you’ve purchased it, and if you have recommended it to others.
You may also be asked to leave external reviews on websites like Chewie and Sephora. In these cases, you’ll usually include #PinchMe and #Sponsored in your review to let others know you received the product as a free sample.
You may also receive invitations to qualifying surveys for full-sized product trials. We’ve gotten 4-pound bags of dog food and full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in these trials.
What Types of Products Can I Try Through PinchMe?
Food – We’ve gotten gummy bears, granola bars, teas, smoothie mixes, nuts, crackers, candy, and more.
Pet products – dog and cat food, flea collars, treats.
Personal care products – Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup, Band-Aids, antacids, allergy remedies, and more.
Coupons – Pasta sauce, Impossible burgers, and more, redeemable for a free product at your local retailer.
Is PinchMe a Scam?
No, PinchMe is not a scam. Unlike some other “free sample” websites, you won’t find yourself filling out endless surveys and accidentally downloading computer viruses, only to find that you’ll never receive that promised sample. You’ll also never have to pay shipping.
At the time of posting, my PinchMe account reports that I’ve claimed 143 free samples in 68 PinchMe boxes since 2014.
Will I Get Free Samples Every Month?
Companies use free sample feedback as a type of market research. As such, their studies sometimes have specific parameters. You may not fit those parameters every time. Keeping your profile up to date is the best way to score plenty of samples.
Often, a “consolation prize” of free magazine subscriptions is offered. Throughout the month, there are also opportunities to claim additional items by accepting third-party offers, such as free credit score monitoring, a coffee subscription sample, or a children’s book subscription sample. You can also take additional surveys to earn “coins” that are redeemable for special PinchMe boxes.

Our verdict? PinchMe is a great source of free samples with virtually zero risk.
