Tip: You can grow your own salsa garden! A small bed of tomatoes, bell and jalapeno peppers, cilantro, green onions, and a potted lime tree will provide all the ingredients you need.
Simple Summer Salsa Recipe
Servings: 6
Prep time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 can diced tomatoes and peppers
1 fresh jalapeño
1 small bunch cilantro
Tops of 2 green onions (chives)
3 cloves of garlic
Juice of 2 limes
Salt to taste
Preparation
1. Wash fresh fruits and vegetables.
2. Juice the limes. If fresh limes are not available, you can substitute 2 tbsp of lime juice.
3. Slice the jalapeño, garlic, and cilantro.
3. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
3. Blend on low until the salsa takes on a pureed texture.
4. Enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips!
