I LOVE Nashville. And no wonder – in 2022, National Geographic named Nashville the best global destination to visit in June. And since at least 2019, Nashville has beaten out Las Vegas as the U.S. bachelorette party capital. Wondering what to do in Nashville? Look no further than this ever-growing travel guide!
Why Nashville?
What is there to do in Nashville? Plenty! I’ve lived in the greater Nashville area for decades, but only recently did I begin to experience it with a tourist’s eyes.
Nashville has a thriving downtown with a lively tourist vibe. You’ll also find endless music, a rich history, and vibrant international cultural hotspots.

Where to Park in Nashville
Finding an affordable place to park in Nashville can be a real pain. I learned that the hard way. Unfamiliar with Nashville, I followed my GPS to the location of a friend’s engagement party. The city was buzzing with activity and parking was scarce. After driving around in circles, I finally resigned myself to paying $35.00 for a few hours of parking.
Then, due to a technical error, I got a $70.00 parking ticket (which was later rescinded, thankfully). At any rate, I committed myself to find free or affordable parking for future adventures. And now, I share those locations with you.
